Havly – History and Comfort Under One Roof

Havly is our most historic accommodation and conference venue.

The building is the only one of the old seamen’s homes that survived the fires at the end of World War II.

For decades, Havly was a safe haven for fishermen – a gathering place where they could take a warm shower, enjoy a good meal, read the newspaper,

and meet others when bad weather forced their boats to stay in port.

In 2025, the building was carefully restored and modernized with respect for its history.

Here you will find a unique combination of old and new: apartments, hotel rooms, and conference rooms. Through photos and digital stories, you can experience the history of Båtsfjord and the surrounding areas – a different kind of stay with a focus on culture and local heritage.

Havly offers two apartments, two studio rooms, seven hotel rooms,

and meeting rooms for both 12 and 40 people, as well as a restaurant with 40 seats.

It is the perfect place for courses, conferences, and meetings –

while giving you an experience deeply connected to the unique history of Båtsfjord.
